2007
Technical consultant for relocation
project of rides from Kobe Portopialand,
Japan.
Wild West World, Kansas, US – relocation
and installation of a Huss Condor ride,
previously in operation at Kobe Portopialand,
Japan. Manufacture and installation of park
model, six horse Rodeo Trail ride.
Camelot Theme Park, Lancashire, UK –
relocation and installation of BMRX steel roller
coaster, previously in operation at Kobe
Portopialand, Japan. Renamed Knightmare, the
project included ensuring compliance with latest
UK/European standards, incorporating the design,
manufacture and installation of PLC based
monitoring system following shortcomings
identified by design reviewer. Complex software
programme written by Amusement Technical for this
purpose with new system monitoring existing
system and generating alarms and notification of
any single point failures. Also completed full
refurbishment of the ride trains.
Mtatsminda Park, Tbilisi, Georgia –
relocation and installation of large,
three-storey Barbisan-built Ghost Train featuring
eight, two-car trains and multiple effects, from
Eur Luna Park, Rome. Full strip down and
refurbishment, addition of new ride controller,
all electrics and completion of re-build.
2008
Wicksteed Park, Kettering, UK
– extensive refurbishment and installation of
ex-Rotunda amusement park, 130m. Log Flume. Full
refurbishment of ride, including boats/logs, and
construction of new queue area and station.
Victoria & Alfred Waterfront shopping
centre, Cape Town, South Africa – sale and
installation of rides package including new
travelling model Rodeo Trail and refurbished
Jumping Star, Ladybirds and Toy Set.
Gulliver’s Theme Park Group, UK – supply
of two refurbished, Modern Products-built,
children’s Pirate Ships for indoor operation.
2009
Amusement Technical
incorporated as a limited company and formation
of sister company Amusement Technical Rentals
Ltd., dealing with all rental and shared revenue
operations, thus improving customer services.
Amusement Technical Ltd. joins British
Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and
Attractions (BALPPA) as trade associate member.
Leas water lift, Folkestone, UK – full
inspection and engineer’s report of the oldest
water balanced cliff lift in England.
Virgin 1 TV – Overall consultant as
industry expert on The Great British Holiday Show
for re-launch of seaside amusement park on the
Isle of Wight.
The Big Sheep, Devon, UK – introduction
and installation of first coin-operated version
of the popular Amusement Technical Rodeo Trail
ride. Operational without the need for a member
of staff and covering a smaller footprint to the
original park model of the same attraction, the
new model provides real potential for smaller
venues, such as farm parks. Different animals can
be utilised to match particular themes.
Knowsley Safari Park, Cheshire, UK – long
collaboration with Knowsley continues with the
extensive refurbishment, including full
paintwork, and installation of a Chair-o-Planes
ride, as previously operated at Morecambe
Pleasure Park and Southport Pleasureland. Also
supply and installation of fully refurbished
Fabbri-built Pirate Ship.
Ocean Beach, Tyne and Wear, UK –
installation of full refurbished, 33-seat
Zamperla Pirate Ship, ex-Hayling Island, the
fifth Pirate Ship attraction to be refurbished
and installed by Amusement Technical in 2009.
Varna, Bulgaria – refurbishment, delivery
and installation of Trabant ride and circa 1953
Corbiere Big Wheel, one of only two such rides.
Wheel refurbishment included conversion of the
drive system to modern variable frequency drive
from the old DC system.
Casablanca – package of five juvenile
rides.
Nigeria – package of seven rides.
2010
Atlantis Adventure Park, Atlantic
Village, Bideford - Supply and installation
of Honeypot Bears and Wave Rider to Atlantis
Adventure Park, Atlantic Village, Bideford.
Gambardo
Supply and installation of the Tiger pots ride to
Gambado
